Vendor Manager

Due to tremendous growth, we are looking to add a full time Vendor Manager to our Translation team. We are looking for someone ready to make an immediate impact (someone who can hit the ground running).

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Negotiating translations cost
  • Database Management (data entry, updates, troubleshooting problems)
  • Monitor vendors schedules
  • Recruiting freelance translators
  • Conduct various web searches
  • Managing vendor relations (phone, web, e-mail or other)
  • Manage daily, weekly & monthly departmental reports
  • Monitor vendors billing/invoices and research questions and concerns
  • Research methods to reduce cost

Skills and experience should include:

  • Negotiating skills
  • Data entry experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Staffing or recruiting experience is helpful
  • Excellent communication & organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bilingual preferred
  • 2+ years experience in Vendor Management, HR/Recruiting, Project Management or Research position
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • College degree in either business or language studies

Client Services Manager

Job summary:

Responsible for client relations, servicing, and acting as the primary liaison between clients, LSA operational staff and the LSA sales team. Responsibilities also include supporting both operations and sales teams in implementation and/or transition of new clients, monitoring and establishing measurements and metrics for client satisfaction, handling and responding to issues and complaints, measuring and creating Quality Assurance reports, and communicating effectively with clients to identify ways to improve and increase the depth and breadth of our relationships. Clients include large and small entities across a variety of industries and government services, including financial services, healthcare, legal, hospitality, entertainment, technology, federal, state, and local government.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Executive Vice President and Director of Sales.

Requirements:

  • Develop a strategic plan and direction
  • Ability to articulate well, speak precisely, think and write clearly
  • Multitask and work well under pressure in a time-constrained environment; able to efficiently and effectively resolve problems
    as they arise on projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and customer service skills
  • Good judgment, extreme discretion and flexibility in work hours
  • A willingness to travel to meet with clients, vendors as required
  • Interact with named key clients on a regular basis to establish and maintain relationships and stay current with respect to client needs and industry knowledge

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Translation Project Manager

Are you a dynamic, creative professional with project management and translation experience? Do you crave a close-knit, collaborative work environment where your perspective and opinions matter? LSA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lend his or her talents to its Translations Division. Based in suburban Philadelphia, LSA provides excellent opportunities for individual achievement and professional growth. Translation skills and experience a must (preference given to those with a degree in translation and/or ATA certification) in any language combination. Position is available immediately for the right candidate. All applicants must be based in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine project scope with client
  • Prepare estimate of costs for client
  • Contract to appropriate translation resources and other vendors (DTP, etc.)
  • Perform quality assurance reviews
  • Some translation and editing in native language
  • Some light DTP (Quark, PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Prepare final product for delivery in client-specified format
  • Prepare billing for accounting
Ideal candidate will possess:
  • Translation industry experience
  • A translation degree
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Facility with managing a diverse range of clients
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to inter-cultural issues
  • Exceptional on-the-spot problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well both as a team member and independently
  • Strong computing skills
Preference will be given to those with:
  • Professional translation and project management experience
  • DTP skills (Mac and PC)
  • Familiarity with Trados
